Fun With Hanko Designs!

Lately I have had so much fun "playing" with Hanko Designs papers! Not only did I use their wonderful washi papers, but incorporated two of their great techiniques! Paper Quilting is so easy to do and really adds an extra "WOW" factor to your card or scrapbook page! As you can see by these examples, I had a good time! This would make a fun, exciting class! Would you like me to teach a class? Just ask!

Peek a Boo Book from Tinkering Ink

A couple of the stores in my territory have asked me for a sample using the darling "Peek a Boo" books from Tinkering Ink. So, I had a little fun today using the gorgeous line of papers, also from Tinkering Ink - Provencial Fare. Tinkering Ink was ahead of their time, I think, when they manufactured these great books. It's like a "baby step" into the world of acrylic books by mixing chipboard with the acrylic - and adding a couple of "peek a boo" areas where your photos peek through! I know quite a few of you still may have some of these books in your stores - so I hope to supply you with a little inspiration for you to make a sample for your store to sell through these items. In addition to the Tinkering Ink products, I also used Rangers Stickles for the front cover, May Art ribbons on the book rings, Grunge board, Glimmer Mist on the acrylic, chipboard, as well as Grunge board, Petaloo flowers, Technique Tuesday Stamp and Tsukineko's white StazOn, Hero Arts pearls, Ranger's Acrylic Paint Dabber in Pearl & Purple Twilight. Instructions for UTEE Jewelry

Well, many stores emailed me looking for instructions on how to make the fun jewelry... so here you go! You really won't believe how incredibly easy this is!
Items needed:

Ranger - Melting Pot
Ranger - Craft Sheet
Ranger - Memory Frames
Ranger - UTEE - your choice of color
Ranter - Perfect Pearls & brush
Ranger - Stickles - your choice of color
Stamp - any RUBBER stamp can be used - NOT ACRYLIC. I have had best results when the stamp is larger than the size of Memory Frame chosen.
Ranger - Perfect Medium

Plug in your Melting Pot - set dial on UTEE setting
Place Melting Pot on Craft Sheet
Pour in your choice of UTEE and place lid back on pot
Select your RUBBER stamp and ink with Perfect Medium
Place RUBBER stamp on Craft Sheet - rubber side up
Select your Memory Frame and place on top of stamp
When UTEE is melted, carefully pour into Memory Frame - careful not to over pour.
Let cool and remove stamp from Memory Frame
"Paint" with Perfect Pearls - if desired
Add a little Stickles - if desired
VOILA!

The beauty of this project is that there virtually is no waste. When you are finished creating, simply pour the remainder of the melted UTEE on to the Craft Sheet and when cool, store for use at a later time. When you want to create again, just place the leftover piece in the Melting Pot and melt!

This project is a great demo - the possibility for super sales are huge!

I have been having SO much fun playing with Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE for short) that I thought I would share some of my creations with you! So fun and really quite easy! I'll post instructions if y'all are interested - just let me know.
